11.5 Show polite respect for that which others sincerely hold sacred, but never sacrifice freedom, democracy or security.

Religious beliefs are not the only thing which people hold sacred. In Western Civilization, human New Magna Carta Mediumlife, human spirit, love, care, parenthood, childhood, family, nature, freedom, the rule of law, human rights, fairness, the nation, the flag, justice and democracy are sacred to some. If someone sincerely holds something sacred, it is a matter of politeness to be respectful of that fact, and not to unnecessarily ridicule, shame or disrespect them for it. However, that polite respect must never be a matter of law or political correctness. It must never be observed at the expense of freedom, democracy or security.
