Each individual can only be responsible for their own actions. Collectively, each religion must take responsibility for maintaining its self-regulation, reputation, ethos, good governance and behaviour. Where there is a problem with individuals using religion to justify violence, victim mentality, supremacism, racism, colonisation, slavery, rape, paedophilia, crime, fascism, intimidation, bullying or anti-democratic behaviour, the religion itself must take responsibility for challenging that behaviour, avoiding the need for external regulation and the involvement of outsiders.
